Full-Time Forensic Electrical Engineer

Investigate cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in electrical systems/components within industrial, commercial, and residential sites.

Analyze failure of electrical systems, determine cause of failures, evaluate quality of construction, review design and maintenance procedures.

Perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations, and document damaged property.

Research failure modes, code requirements, and provide recommendations for repair/replacement.

Prepare accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports/documentation for clients detailing opinions and conclusions.

Participate on multidisciplinary teams on large/complex assignments.

Maintain established relationships with current clients/consultants.

Stay abreast of company policies, procedures, and practices; participate in ongoing training/development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert witness testimony experience
• Multi-state PE licensing and/or active NCEES Record

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications:

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Able to travel to various project sites
• Able to access and inspect all areas of mechanical, electrical, and/or IT equipment
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
