About the role Energy sector is complex. You'll be part of a supportive team trading financial electricity products and carbon. No typical day. Core focus: trading financial contracts on the NZ electricity market, market making NZ Electricity Futures contracts, and working with Spot Markets & Dispatch teams to manage risks and enhance performance.
About You Tertiary-qualified with trading experience in NZ wholesale energy or other financial markets (commodities). Strong with numbers, unflappable, experienced under pressure.
What we need: Commercial nous, comfort making fast decisions, understand & communicate complex issues easily, human-centric, great communication, critical thinker. Team player, open to learning, energetic & trustworthy. Proficient in R-Studio, SQL, or Python is beneficial, not essential.
