General Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining assigned property. This includes installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration, cooking, and restaurant facility equipment, IT services, following safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems/processes to support site goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Install and maintain kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain/replace HVAC units and electrical systems.
- Perform general facilities repairs, upgrades, and maintenance (plumbing, exhaust fans, landscaping, lighting, signage, exterior cleanliness, etc.).
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed, including production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
- Perform IT skills: PULSE installation, network drops, phone system maintenance, and computer repair.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test, and adjust as needed.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and restaurant facilities.
- Perform plumbing and carpentry functions.
- Coordinate and direct maintenance of company vehicles.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and unusual situations, and report them to supervision.
- Assist with fire prevention (checking fire suppression systems and extinguisher certification dates).
- Operate company vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records and receipts.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly assignments, inspections, and reports.
