About the role: As Global Finance Controller, you will be responsible for: Overseeing the company’s global financial operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements. Managing and developing a high-performing finance team across multiple geographies. Optimizing financial processes, systems, and controls to drive efficiency, scalability, and automation. Leading global billing, revenue operations, and treasury management, ensuring seamless cash flow and financial stability. Owning the company’s M&A integration strategy, including due diligence and post-acquisition financial management. Serving as a trusted strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership, providing insights to drive growth and profitability.
What your day to day will look like:
- Executive Leadership & Team Development: Build, manage, and mentor a world-class finance team, ensuring strong execution and professional development. Drive a high-performance culture, providing clear goals, accountability, and coaching for career growth. Partner with the CFO to develop and execute the company’s financial vision and operational strategy. Act as a key business partner to cross-functional teams.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS across multiple entities. Implement robust internal controls, ensuring SOX compliance and audit readiness. Lead the financial risk management strategy. Prepare board reports and executive-level financial insights.
- Billing, Revenue Recognition & Operations: Oversee global billing operations. Act as the finance lead for pricing and packaging changes. Implement best practices in subscription revenue recognition. Drive automation and efficiency in revenue operations.
- Strategic Finance & Business Performance: Lead cash burn and liquidity management. Drive budget vs. actuals variance analysis. Work closely with FP&A and Commercial Finance to optimize EBITDA and improve profitability. Act as a key driver of finance transformation.
- Banking, Treasury & Capital Strategy: Own and manage global banking relationships. Oversee treasury functions, including foreign exchange risk management. Partner with CFO on capital allocation.
- M&A, Equity & Growth Strategy: Participate in M&A financial due diligence. Manage purchase accounting, goodwill, and intangible asset valuation. Oversee cap table management and equity administration.
- Finance Transformation & Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements. Implement finance automation tools and ERP optimizations. Establish scalable financial processes to support global expansion.
The Successful Candidate Has: 15+ years of progressive finance leadership, including 7+ years in a Senior Director or Controller level. Experience in high-growth industries. Proven ability to build and scale global finance teams. Deep expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and ASC 606. Strong hands-on experience in billing operations, revenue accounting, and payment processing. Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations. Track record of driving finance transformation. Expertise in M&A transactions and post-merger integration. Experience in treasury operations, banking relationships, and capital strategy. Strategic mindset. Hands-on experience with financial automation tools.
