The OpportunityThis is a key role within our global finance team, reporting to the Group Director of Tax and working closely with the SVP Group Finance CFO, Audit Committee, and Global Leadership Team. You will lead on and/or contribute to the Group tax planning and execution for the EMEA and APAC regions in a multi-currency, midcap-listed environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic impact.
What you will do
- Cross-Border Tax Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate cross-border tax risks, ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations.
- Transfer Pricing Compliance: Oversee the transfer pricing policies, ensuring adherence to OECD guidelines and local country regulations. Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Assist in the development and implementation of international tax strategies to enhance operational efficiencies and manage tax costs.
- Tax Jurisdiction Expansion/Exit: Provide tax advisory support on entering/exiting tax jurisdictions, including evaluating tax implications, structuring considerations, and liaising with external tax advisors and local authorities.
- Group Tax Initiatives: Support the Director of Tax in broader tax-related projects, including tax audits, M&A activities, and tax technology improvements.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize IP within the group, ensuring effective tax structuring and compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
- Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of international tax law developments, assess their impact on the business, and provide proactive recommendations.
What We Are Looking For
- ACA or CTA qualified.
- Strong technical skills and experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Corporation Tax issues.
- A decisive thinker with the ability to analyze information quickly.
- Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of cross-border tax issues and transfer pricing.
- Strong knowledge of OECD guidelines, BEPS framework, and global tax regulations.
- Proven experience in managing transfer pricing policies and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with tax compliance and reporting requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to assess and navigate complex international tax matters and provide practical solutions.
- Relevant tax experience gained in a listed group environment.
- Experience of building strong relationships both internally and externally.
- A good team player.
