Full-Time Head of Data Solutions

Role Description: Responsible for developing and maintaining data platform for internal analytics in Sanoma Learning. Report to Head of Data and AI in Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Data Solutions team in developing a unified data platform.
• Manage analytical and data-related needs with flexible data solutions.
• Ensure continuous development by facilitating the scrum process.
• Develop and maintain a scalable and efficient data infrastructure (Snowflake).
• Collaborate with departments to ensure seamless integration.
• Lead a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support.
• Support data engineering tech lead in developing team’s competence.
• Facilitate the development and execution of data-driven strategy.
• Manage data tools (e.g., Snowflake, DBT) and discussions with vendors.
• Oversee data governance at Sanoma Learning.
• Support the advancement of AI topics by considering suitable data structures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in leading and delivering scalable data platforms.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with modern data engineering tools like DBT, Apache Airflow, SQL, and Python.
• Experience in establishing and overseeing data governance frameworks.
• Background in agile project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships.
