Head of IT - Diagnostics & Genomics
As part of LGC IT, lead strategic direction and delivery of IT solutions/services, aligning with D&G division objectives (commercial, manufacturing, quality, innovation).
Report directly to CDIO and indirectly to D&G General Manager.
Serve as key member of D&G Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Leadership: Shape and drive D&G division IT strategy, ensuring technology aligns with business objectives, with focus on Business Systems, eCommerce, and Enterprise Business Intelligence.
- IT Planning and Approvals: Oversee IT planning, prioritize initiatives, and manage approvals for new IT solutions/services.
- Solution Delivery: Lead conception, planning, and delivery of strategic IT initiatives, ensuring seamless integration into D&G business.
- Service Management: Guarantee effective delivery of centrally managed and D&G-specific IT services, aligning with business requirements.
- Financial Stewardship: Develop and manage IT budget, prepare business cases, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to justify IT investments.
- Vendor Management: Foster strategic relationships with external vendors/partners, ensuring value and alignment with business goals.
- Security and Compliance: Collaborate with CISO Office to maintain/enhance security and compliance across the division.
- Talent Development: Build and nurture IT talent, ensuring skilled professionals support the division's technology needs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor D&G IT team, ensuring effective performance, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.
Educational Background: MBA or Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business, engineering, or a relevant field.
Experience: 15+ years' experience managing/directing an IT operation, ideally with extensive experience in the Life Sciences industry. Experience in successfully delivering complex enterprise IT programs.
Technical Skills: Experience with key business applications (eCommerce, CRM, ERP), Business Intelligence/Data Analytics.
Leadership: Strategic thought leader, strong communication/presentation skills, able to influence diverse stakeholders at C-Suite level.
Integration Experience: Background in mergers & acquisitions and technology integration is a plus.
