Role Overview
Work as part of a collaborative team resolving application support issues for NEC Housing and related components. Ensure issues are handled efficiently using ITIL best practice service processes. Normal hours are 9:00–17:30, Monday to Friday, except for one week in every 10 when you’ll cover Canadian hours (14:00–22:00).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance, application support, and usage guidance to NEC customers.
- Investigate and resolve application issues, working toward SLA targets.
- Translate customer requirements into workarounds and fixes.
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation and procedures.
- Deliver proactive support services (ITIL Problem Management).
- Identify opportunities for additional services and solutions.
Essential Skills
- Strong SQL skills for querying and managing database content.
- Experience supporting applications deployed via web technologies.
- Good understanding of service delivery within defined SLAs.
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills.
- Experience with NEC Housing is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, UNIX Solaris).
- Familiarity with APIs, Business Objects, and integration tools.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- Awareness of software development principles within ISO 9001 environments.
- Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills.
