Job Details

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Perform and coordinate advanced tasks (3rd level) to deliver IT services on AIX platforms.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain a stable technical infrastructure supporting business processes.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and escalate complex infrastructure issues.
  • Analyze root causes of incidents, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, plan, and implement complex system changes.
  • Monitor system performance and remediate deviations in collaboration with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
  • Act as a technical lead to deliver release and deployment plans.
  • Provide training to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

  • Have expert-level knowledge of technical and IT systems in OS, Networking, Storage, Backup, and Middleware.
  • Possess strong expertise in PowerPC-based environments, including POWER, AIX, VIOS, and HMC.
  • Have good knowledge of SAN technologies, including:
    • IBM SVC
    • NPIV
  • Are skilled in network administration (CCNA), protocols, and troubleshooting network/connectivity issues.
  • Are communicative, a team player, and demonstrate analytical thinking.
  • Possess training/mentoring skills, presentation skills, and negotiation abilities.
  • Speak English at an upper-intermediate level (B2).
  • Speak German at an upper-intermediate level (B2) (advantageous).

Possible specialization

  • Participation on on-call duties (exceptionally), independent solving and troubleshooting of incidents and errors within defined expertise.

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1300€ /brutto.
