Full-Time Internal Audit & SOX Control IT Analyst

Brightspeed is seeking an Internal Audit & SOX Control IT Analyst to join our team!

Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in internal audits across various departments to evaluate IT internal controls.
• Develop and execute SOX test plans to assess IT general controls.
• Thoroughly document testing workpapers.
• Identify root causes, best practices, and communicate results to system owners and management.
• Recommend process improvements by identifying gaps and weaknesses.
• Partner with management to monitor audit recommendations and ensure timely implementation.
• Assist in developing and enhancing audit procedures and processes.
• Lead or support data analytics projects, integrating analytics into audit processes.
• Collaborate with system/technology owners regarding IT internal controls.
• Develop strong working relationships with system/technology owners.
• Perform other duties as required.

Maximum Travel: Approximately 15%.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in IT control identification and testing.
• Understanding/experience with various technologies (cloud computing, infrastructure, platforms, applications, and databases).
• Fundamental understanding of business processes, financial reporting, and IT audit and control frameworks (SOX, COSO, COBIT, NIST, OWASP).
• Knowledge of business continuity management and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of ERP security (SAP preferred), application control identification and testing, security architecture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points:

• SAP – S/4 Hana; Google Cloud environment
• MBA, CISA, CIA, CRISC, or CISSP, or desire for advanced degree/certification
• Prior Internal Audit, External Audit, and/or SOX experience
• Experience with audit software and data analytics tools
• Previous telecom experience
