Full-Time Internal Audit & SOX Control IT Analyst

Brightspeed is seeking an Internal Audit & SOX Control IT Analyst.

The analyst will conduct internal audits to assess IT internal controls, identify improvements, and ensure policy compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting across departments.
2. Develop and execute SOX test plans for IT general controls over financial reporting.
3. Document testing workpapers thoroughly and clearly.
4. Identify root causes, best practices in control design and operational effectiveness.
5. Communicate results to system owners and management.
6. Recommend process improvements by identifying gaps and weaknesses.
7. Partner with management to monitor and ensure timely action plan implementation.
8. Assist in developing and enhancing audit procedures.
9. Lead or support data analytics projects, integrating analytics into audit processes, and identifying automation opportunities.
10. Collaborate with and educate system owners regarding IT internal controls and internal audit's role.
11. Develop strong working relationships with system/technology owners.
12. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years relevant experience in IT control identification and testing.
• Understanding of various technologies (cloud computing, infrastructure, platforms, applications, databases).
• Understanding of business processes, financial reporting, and IT audit frameworks (SOX, COSO, COBIT, NIST, OWASP).
• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of ERP security (SAP preferred) and application control identification and testing.
• Knowledge of security architecture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
