About Wintermute: Wintermute is a large crypto algorithmic trading company. We provide liquidity, OTC solutions, and support blockchain projects. We also invest in early-stage DeFi projects.
About Wintermute Ventures: This is Wintermute's investment arm. They back early-stage Web3 projects with support.
Responsibilities include:
- Sourcing: Finding new investment opportunities in crypto infrastructure (DeFi, CeFi).
- Analysis: Analyzing market trends, doing market research, data collection and feasibility studies.
- Due Diligence: Evaluating investment prospects (market research, product reviews, competitive analysis, metrics analysis, customer reviews, technical diligence).
- Portfolio Work: Supporting portfolio founders.
- Ecosystem Building: Contributing to the blockchain/crypto community.
- Admin: Coordinating with internal/external parties (auditors, custody providers).
Hard Skills Requirements:
- Experience interacting with DeFi protocols and understanding blockchain technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of venture capital and crypto deal terms.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in consulting, investing, or high-growth tech, with financial modeling capability.
- Analytical and strategic thinking for investment decisions.
- Teamwork and self-guided work skills.
- Strong written and analytical skills for deal analysis and reporting.
- Relationship building and networking skills.
- Proactive approach.
