About the Role
As the IT Administrator, you'll jointly manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure with the Security and Engineering teams. Your initial focus will be on asset and account management. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Management: Manage IT assets (hardware, software licenses), maintain inventory, coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and returns.
- User and Identity Management: Oversee user accounts, permissions, authentication, and onboarding new employees, including setting up hardware, software, and access. Provide support for password management, account recovery, and role-based access.
- Security Support: Assist with endpoint protection, encryption, and firewall configurations. Collaborate with Security and Engineering teams.
- Engineering Support: Provide technical support for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting development environments and tools; assisting in deployments and ensuring uptime.
- Day-to-Day IT Support: Act as the first point of contact for IT support inquiries, troubleshooting various technical issues. Monitor and maintain system performance.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain IT policies, procedures, and system documentation. Develop user guides and provide training on new tools, systems, and security best practices. Assist in maintaining knowledge-sharing resources.
- Other Responsibilities: Continuously monitor IT systems, identify areas for improvement, stay updated with trends, and participate in IT projects as needed.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in IT support or administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with asset management, account provisioning, and IT ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with endpoint management and identity management solutions.
- Proficient in common operating systems and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices (VPNs, MFA, etc).
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and development tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration abilities.
Bonus Qualifications
- Scripting or automation experience.
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Security+.
- Familiarity with DevOps and engineering environments.
