Full-Time IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

Vistrada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, and managing an organization's cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security by leveraging cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, while also maintaining IT infrastructure. Requires expertise in network administration, systems management, and automation tools to deliver reliable and efficient IT services across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key responsibilities include: configuring and managing M365, Azure Security Center, implementing network controls, securing cloud resources, and leveraging security tools.

Consulting experience a plus, client-facing experience a must-have.

Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment: Architect and implement scalable cloud solutions on chosen platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to meet business requirements. Design and configure cloud networks, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers. Provision and manage cloud resources like virtual machines, storage services, and databases.
2. On-Premises Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain existing on-premises servers, network devices, and storage systems. Implement network security policies and manage firewalls. Perform capacity planning and resource optimization for both cloud and on-premises environments.
3. Security and Compliance: Enforce robust security measures on cloud platforms, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy standards. Implement security best practices.
4. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud resource utilization and identify potential performance bottlenecks. Implement cost optimization strategies to manage cloud spending effectively. Analyze system logs and metrics to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
5. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications. Provide technical support to users on cloud-related issues. Document cloud architecture and procedures for knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) with deep understanding of its services and features.
• Strong networking knowledge including routing protocols, firewalls, and network security.
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation and system management.
• Understanding of system administration principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of security protocols and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

• Manage relationships with external vendors and manage the internal tooling they provide.
• Successfully deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
• Assess the relative impact of emerging technology to determine the potential value for the organization.
• Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
• Strong writing and presentation skills, specifically relating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Relevant certifications (a plus): Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate and Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate and/or Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert
