Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and provide information systems security analysis or certification/validation to Program Executive Office (PEO), Army Command (ACOM), or Department of the Army and Enterprise level projects.
- Conduct detailed analysis of security requirements for new systems or modification to existing systems.
- Recommend and document total spectrum of security requirements from Federal, DoD and DA regulatory guidance, higher level policies, and system unique concerns.
- Analyze vulnerabilities to determine risks to the system and the GIG, considering system development and operational environments, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Design security solutions and recommend countermeasures to mitigate risks. Prepare reports documenting the risks.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time. Is subject to travel on short notice (i.e., less than24 hours' notice).
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Conducting detailed information assurance assessments of systems; 2) Proposing security solutions and/or recommend countermeasures to mitigate risks; and 3) Providing technical support or guidance in information assurance, certification/validation, or security accreditation.
