As an Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring operational security within the region and each laboratory in your scope.
You will be part of the Regional IT Security Office for multiple European businesses in the Eurofins network (AgroScience, BioPharma Services, Invitro Diagnostics, Consumer Product Testing Europe).
Scope includes:
- Approvals: Approve sensitive access and firewall rules.
- Reviews: Recertify accesses, firewall rules, etc. Review the existing configuration (AD, Intune, Office 365, Azure, etc.) to ensure that it is in line with expectations and security best-practices.
- Change: Review and approve any change to the IT infrastructure.
- Testing: Perform vulnerability scans at Regional and laboratory level and ensure that remediation is done. Work with Group Security to organise penetration testing when needed.
- Incidents: Assist in the investigation of security breaches and security intelligence reported by Group SOC.
- Advisory: Work with newly acquired laboratories to improve their security posture based on an internal list of mandatory security improvements and with the support of a Senior Security Analyst, and review the security level of applications (developed in-house or externally) and advise on security improvements.
- Reporting: Support the build-up of operational security KPIs and recommend improvements.
Security Clearance Required: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, security clearance is required. Applicants must have five years of continuous residency in the UK. Criminal convictions may prevent clearance. Refer to the provided link for further details.
Additional Requirements: All successful applicants will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing before employment commences.
Personal Skills: We seek an autonomous, adaptable, quick learner who can easily manage multiple priorities, ambiguity, and a fast-paced business environment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and experience with large, complex IT environments are essential.
Education: A Master's degree (Computer Science, Information Technology Systems Security, or related field) is preferred, but alternative career paths (open-source projects, bug bounties, bootcamps) are considered as long as demonstrated qualifications align.
Certifications: Cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
Experience: 1-3 years' experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
