Mirantis is adding a Technical Support Engineer to our team!

We are seeking a very skilled engineer to provide world-class technical support for Mirantis Container and Kubernetes technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in Mirantis' Container technologies and customer deployment environments.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques (debug and diagnose) on critical, highly complex problems.
  • Be an active participant in resolving customer technical challenges.
  • Partner with product and solution experts to co-develop reference architecture content.
  • Create best-in-class help content and proactively audit knowledge management.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and track customer interactions in internal ticketing.
  • Manage workload to handle customer requests and issues timely.
  • Occasionally work and be on call during weekends and holidays.
  • Have fun!

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Outgoing and approachable personality.
  • 3-4+ years of technical support, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent familiarity with Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of networking.
  • Knowledge of Linux software packaging, distribution, and configuration.

Enhanced Qualifications:

  • Strong Container technology knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Container and Kubernetes networking expertise.
  • Ingress/egress technologies knowledge.
  • Kubernetes Load Balancing Technologies.
  • REST and RAFT familiarity.
  • Cloud solution (AWS, Azure, GCP, Openstack) and virtualization knowledge.
  • Docker Certified Associate (DCA).
  • Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or higher.

Nice-to-have Qualifications:

  • Experience configuring, customizing, and extending logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch).
  • DevOps software experience (Puppet, Chef, Jenkins).
