Job Details

Mirantis is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to provide world-class technical support for Mirantis Container and Kubernetes technologies. These include Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, Mirantis Secure Registry, and Mirantis Container Runtime, and emerging technologies.

You will be a friendly, outgoing, and polished communicator interested in solving complex problems and delivering high customer satisfaction.

You'll work closely with Engineering and Product Management, representing the customer's voice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in Mirantis' Container technologies and customer deployment environments.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques (debug and diagnose) on critical problems across the technology stack.
  • Partner with product and solution experts to develop reference architecture content.
  • Create best-in-class help content and audit knowledge management.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records for customer interactions.
  • Manage workload to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Occasionally work and be on call during weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent written and verbal English.
  • Outgoing personality; approachable.
  • 3-4+ years of technical support or engineering experience.
  • Excellent familiarity with Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong networking knowledge.
  • Understanding of Linux software packaging, distribution, and configuration.

Enhanced Qualifications:

  • Strong Container technologies knowledge (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Container and Kubernetes networking knowledge.
  • Ingress/egress technologies knowledge.
  • Kubernetes Load Balancing Technologies knowledge.
  • Knowledge of REST and RAFT.
  • Familiarity with Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Openstack) and virtualization technologies.
  • Docker Certified Associate (DCA) or higher certification is a plus.
  • Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or higher certification is a plus.

Nice to have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch).
  • Familiarity with DevOps software (Puppet, Chef, Jenkins).
