Location: Remote, US-based. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
About the role: Lead technical contributor on a cloud-native, enterprise SaaS platform for human services. Provide hands-on architecture, development, and mentoring to deliver scalable microservices, integrations, APIs, and platform capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for a scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS platform.
- Architect and extend a modern microservices ecosystem with high configurability.
- Translate complex business and integration requirements into technical solutions.
- Guide and mentor engineers; promote best practices in design, code quality, and operations.
- Design, document, and troubleshoot APIs and integrations; ensure security, performance, and reliability.
- Drive CI/CD, automated testing, and evaluate emerging technologies including AI-assisted tooling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience; 8–12+ years as a software engineer.
- Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture.
- Experience with REST/OpenAPI, API design, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, React/TypeScript, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, PostgreSQL, S3 and cloud services.
- Experience with testing (integration, load/performance), CI/CD, security, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and agile development experience.
Compensation: $170,000–190,000 per year plus bonus and equity.
