Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead IT Technician to join our team in a remote capacity within the United States.

As the Lead IT Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing our IT support operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT technicians, providing guidance and support in resolving complex technical issues
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize system performance and security
  • Manage and prioritize IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Oversee the maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs and implement appropriate solutions
  • Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements as needed
  • Manage IT projects, including planning, resource allocation, and execution
  • Provide technical expertise and escalation support for complex IT issues
  • Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, systems, and configurations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud computing platforms
  • Strong proficiency in network administration and security protocols
  • Expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues across various platforms
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of developing team members
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSE, or CCNA
  • In-depth understanding of IT service management principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in implementing and maintaining IT security measures
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies
