As the Lead Project Engineer you'll work with our client in cutting-edge Attachments, Rigging, Port & Intermodal Equipment. Job Responsibilities:
- Spearhead projects from conception to completion, ensuring key design deliverables are met.
- Coordinate deliverables, maintain budgets, measure team performance against KPIs, and provide weekly updates.
- Establish and manage project plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to align project objectives.
- Develop and maintain program budgets, including labor, material, and outsourcing costs.
- Oversee requirements definition for functionality and performance improvements.
- Communicate project status and requirements effectively across teams.
- Ensure adherence to the company's development process (LDP) and industry best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and exceed customer expectations through innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Structural, Automotive, or Electrical disciplines.
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience in the relevant engineering discipline. Product development for material handling, construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment industry, and PMP or CPAM-PMI certification.
- Proven experience in cross-functional team collaboration and project management.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Expertise in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and general computer applications.
- Knowledge of machine design, operation, welding, and industry technological developments.
- Ability to participate in occasional domestic travel (up to 10%).
