Full-Time Life and Trends Reporter

The Life & Trends reporter on the Audience Off Platform team is crucial for driving engagement. The role primarily focuses on syndicated platforms like Apple News.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create multiple stories daily on trending topics like life advice, personal dilemmas, health, wellness, and digital themes.
2. Use analytics data to identify stories that resonate with audiences. Monitor content performance and optimize headlines, visuals, and other elements.
3. Receive and apply editor feedback to continuously improve stories and the story creation process. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative content ideas to boost engagement.
4. Increase proficiency in utilizing LLMs for faster, more in-depth reporting and exploring opportunities to develop AI tools further.
5. Perform any other duties required by the business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related fields.
• Proven experience in creating content for newsrooms or digital publications, demonstrating a track record of engaging a wide audience.
• In-depth understanding of lifestyle trends, internet conversations, health, entertainment, science, wellness, etc.
• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify trending content.
• Ability to adapt to rapid changes in trends and adjust strategies without compromising quality.
• Prior experience with AI/LLM tools is preferred, but not required.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience).
