The Life & Trends reporter on the Audience Off Platform team is crucial for driving engagement. The role primarily focuses on syndicated platforms like Apple News.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create multiple stories daily on trending topics like life advice, personal dilemmas, health, wellness, and digital themes.
- Use analytics data to identify stories that resonate with audiences. Monitor content performance and optimize headlines, visuals, and other elements.
- Receive and apply editor feedback to continuously improve stories and the story creation process. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative content ideas to boost engagement.
- Increase proficiency in utilizing LLMs for faster, more in-depth reporting and exploring opportunities to develop AI tools further.
- Perform any other duties required by the business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related fields.
- Proven experience in creating content for newsrooms or digital publications, demonstrating a track record of engaging a wide audience.
- In-depth understanding of lifestyle trends, internet conversations, health, entertainment, science, wellness, etc.
- Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify trending content.
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes in trends and adjust strategies without compromising quality.
- Prior experience with AI/LLM tools is preferred, but not required.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience).
