Full-Time LIMS IT Junior Technical Expert

As part of the Corporate IT organization, you will join the IT Delivery team for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) based on StarLIMS technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain LIMS applications using XFD/HTML5 technologies.
• Implement and optimize integrations between LIMS and laboratory instruments.
• Develop and maintain API integrations between LIMS, internal systems, and third-party applications using StarLIMS and .NET (Azure NGI framework).
• Review, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for improved performance.
• Provide Level 3 application support.
• Collaborate closely with vendors and provide technical guidance.

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Implement LIMS-related developments efficiently and with high quality.
• Translate business and IT specifications into detailed designs, XFD code, and test plans.
• Ensure high development standards through best practices, documentation, and performance optimization.
• Modify and enhance data models as required by the LIMS solution.
• Develop views, SQL queries, and reports for applications and reporting tools.
• Define indexes to optimize database performance.
• Provide Level 3 support for in-house developments in collaboration with the development team.
• Adhere to SGS’s Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in .NET and XFD development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
• Experience designing efficient database models.

• Experience with Crystal Reports and Word Report development.
• Familiarity with Git for project repository management.
• Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
• Exposure to international work environments.
