Manager of Data Science - Media Group Decision Sciences

This Manager of Data Science will lead a team of Data Scientists focused on developing solutions to optimize content, partnering with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with stakeholders to define priorities and business requirements for data science solutions.
• Own and deliver results on existing and new projects related to content understanding.
• Serve as a team expert in statistical methods and machine learning.
• Translate complex problems and solutions to all levels of the organization.
• Manage processes, platforms, and people in audience optimization.
• Drive innovation of methodologies and tools used by the team.
• Collaborate with cross-portfolio leads to understand audience dynamics.
• Contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture.

Requirements:

• PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Economics)
• 4+ years experience applying statistical methods or machine learning.
• Experience leading small teams on commercial projects.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning.
• Experience working with external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience using data visualization tools.

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with scalable systems (Databricks).
• Experience with data products (internal or consumer-facing).
• Experience with data and machine learning pipelines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Salary Range: $145,000 - $180,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
