Job Details
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) fosters scientific partnerships within scientific communities, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare practitioners (HCPs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact in the field.
- Support medical affairs initiatives.
- Be versed in clinical data.
- Conduct pre-launch KOL profiling efforts.
- Develop and track KOL engagement plans.
- Understand territory-specific healthcare systems.
- Proactively conduct scientific exchange with KOLs.
- Function as a scientific resource to KOLs and HCPs.
- Provide disease state education.
- Collaborate across all functions.
- Facilitate logistical communications between the company and HCPs.
- Provide scientific support for Medicine and Scientific Affairs activities.
- Adhere to corporate SOPs and compliance guidelines.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Advanced science / clinical degree (PharmD, M.D., DO, Ph.D.) with 1+ years of experience, or Masters with 3+ years, or BSc/BSN with MBA and 5+ years of experience.
- 4+ years of MSL experience with emphasis on field based scientific exchange (cardiovascular preferred).
- Knowledge of regional specific healthcare systems.
- Communication skills.
- Adaptability in complex situations.
