Santen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join their team in Germany.
The role is field-based, combining office and home work.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting key medical affairs activities, collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal colleagues (Sales & Marketing, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs).
- Maximizing physician awareness of Santen through medical expertise.
- Collecting scientific and medical feedback from customers.
- Attending local, national, and international congresses to meet KOLs, observe presentations, and stay abreast of advancements.
- Presenting data on existing products and new launches to healthcare professionals.
- Presenting data to internal colleagues (e.g., Santen conventions).
- Developing scientific educational materials and training programs.
- Supporting local R&D or Medical Affairs studies (if requested).
- Following GDP guidelines.
Qualifications include:
- University degree in Life Sciences (MD, pharmacist, biologist).
- Native German and fluent English.
- Ability to effectively communicate clinical, scientific, and medical information.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, teaching skills, and business acumen.
- Responding to scientific and medical inquiries accurately and timely.
- Hands-on leadership skills and cross-functional relationship building in a pan-European/international environment.
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to influence key audiences.
- Ability to work independently, creatively, and innovatively.
- Willingness to travel.
