Part-Time MSN AGPCNP - Faculty

Faculty members educate Walden University students by effectively and proficiently using online technology and resources.

Faculty are required to grade assignments, participate in discussions, respond to student emails, and use technology designed to enhance the learning experience.

Responsibilities:

• Teach courses using Canvas.
• Interact with students within Canvas.
• Participate in discussion boards (open 24/7).
• Be in the classroom a minimum of 4 days/week.
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours.

Licensing/Certification:

• Must work currently as a AGPCNP/GNP/ANP.
• Possess an earned degree from an accredited institution.
• Expected to be licensed or license-eligible in specific programs.
• Maintain licenses and certifications.
• Maintain currency with research.
• All NP faculty must maintain RN and APRN licensure in Minnesota.

Education and Experience:

• Earned Doctorate (DNP or PhD) preferred.
• Record of professional scholarly contributions.
• Minimum of one year’s experience of teaching in higher education.
• Current clinical experience in NP practice.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Board Certified AGPC/GNP/ANP.

Technology Requirements:

• Personal computer with virus protection and Internet access.
• Proficiency in current Web browsers, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Reader, and antivirus software.
