Job Details
Brightspeed is seeking a Network Technician responsible for physical Central Office and field work.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting and maintaining switching equipment in Central Offices and the field.
- Keeping backup generators in optimum condition.
- Installing, supporting, and maintaining special circuits and working within the TIRKS system.
- Monitoring and supporting switch alarm activity.
- Installing, supporting, and maintaining fiber and copper networks.
- Supporting and maintaining transport networks and central office power.
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Familiarity with inside and outside plant cabling practices.
- 3 to 5 years experience as a switch technician.
- Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
- Ability to promote and sell Brightspeed services.
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to work well with customers and peers.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work all shifts as assigned, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
