Job Details
Brightspeed is seeking a Network Technician. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting and maintaining switching equipment.
- Keeping backup generators in optimum condition.
- Installing, supporting, and maintaining special circuits.
- Working within the TIRKS system.
- Monitoring and supporting switch alarm activity.
- Installing, supporting, and maintaining fiber and copper networks.
- Supporting and maintaining transport networks and central office power.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with inside and outside plant cabling practices.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a switch technician.
- Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to work well with customers and peers.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
