Job Details
You will be primarily responsible for maintaining and improving post-licensure curricula and all processes related to teaching/learning and assessment/evaluation to meet and exceed professional, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders leading in the development and maintenance of best-in-class courses that exceed student and faculty expectations, and address changing student needs. The role will deliver stated course and program outcomes.
You will direct resources to create and maintain fully standardized courses with best-in-class materials, learning technologies, and pedagogies.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Creates comprehensive goals and project plan for each course.
- Manages multiple course development projects while monitoring, measuring, and reporting on progress.
- Identifies appropriate resources from academic shared services.
- Identifies and engages appropriate faculty SMEs in course development.
- Provides regular updates to Curriculum leader.
- Identifies and resolves potential barriers to project timeline.
- Participates in final stage quality assurance.
- Uses finance skills in budget development/cost estimation.
- Assessment
- Uses best practices and current research to design appropriate assessments.
- Analyzes multiple data sources related to curriculum and interprets data for improvements.
- Conducts/engages in research in consultation with external teams.
- Curriculum Development & Course Design
- Directs course development and improvement including key activities, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Leads and educates faculty in utilization and implementation of course content.
- Maintains curriculum maps and levels pedagogical approach and learning assessment to standards.
- Assures consistency.
- Leadership
- Maintains programmatic accreditation requirements.
- Trains, mentors, coaches, and develops team members.
- Develops policies and procedures.
- Maintains currency in nursing practice and curriculum knowledge.
Requirements:
- MSN Degree Required/ DNP or PhD in Nursing Preferred
- CNE Preferred
- 5+ years Curricula and course development experience (online, blended, and onsite, preferred)
- Learning outcome/program evaluation experience (online, blended, and onsite, preferred)
- Evidence of application of active learning strategies and innovative teaching technologies
- Knowledge of educational and instructional theories and principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects
- Ability to collaborate and lead through influencing skills
- Knowledge of current techniques in curriculum and instruction
- Experience in faculty development and training
- Excellent computer and presentation skills
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, Electronic Assessment applications, or Multimedia technologies (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the regulatory environment of higher education and nursing
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated competence in use of technology for virtual meetings, project management, and training
- Ability to work effectively and productively in a remote location
- Ability to produce high-quality outcomes related to multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to function as a productive team member and model the TEACH values
Salary: $68,637.22 - $124,230.14 (annual)
