Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer with deep expertise in cloud data warehousing, data engineering, and AI/ML. You will collaborate with the sales team to present tailored solutions leveraging Databricks and Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales to understand customer needs and design data architectures.
- Present product demos, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and architectural walkthroughs.
- Develop technical presentations and workshops on data engineering best practices.
- Assist with RFP/RFI responses, crafting technical solutions aligned with customer objectives.
- Facilitate data strategy workshops for client analytics.
- Build scopes of work for data projects.
- Understand customer data engineering workflows, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration needs.
- Advise clients on optimal data pipeline design, automation strategies, and AI/ML integration.
- Identify key use cases for AI/ML and guide clients on integrating machine learning models.
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers realize the full potential of cloud technologies.
- Develop strong customer relationships and provide continuous guidance on optimizing data infrastructure and AI capabilities.
- Partner with customer success and support teams for smooth implementation.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
- Train and mentor internal sales teams.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and share knowledge with the team and customers.
- Build and maintain technical documentation, presentations, and collateral.
- Contribute to best practices, white papers, and case studies.
- Lead internal training sessions, webinars, and knowledge-sharing events.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of data engineering concepts (data pipelines, ETL).
- Proven experience with AI/ML technologies.
- Familiarity with data integration tools, real-time processing, and advanced analytics.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proven ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in sales engineering, pre-sales support, or a similar technical sales role.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong customer-focused mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, data engineering, AI/ML, or sales engineering.
Bonus Skills: Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure certifications; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); Agile/DevOps experience.
