About the Role
We are seeking experienced Program Analysts to support FEMA’s Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon (HPCC) Claims Office. This role involves evaluating documentation, verifying losses, conducting policy analysis, and producing written products.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Analysis & Documentation Review: Review Proofs of Loss, verify accuracy, identify gaps.
- Valuation & Eligibility Assessment: Apply valuation principles, confirm loss categories.
- Duplication of Benefits Analysis: Prevent duplication of benefits, document methodology.
- Written Technical Products: Prepare memorandums, appeals analyses, and summaries.
- Appeals Support: Assess administrative records, draft appeals recommendations.
- Coordination & Communication: Interact with claimants, FEMA staff, and stakeholders.
- Systems & Reporting: Maintain case documentation, track progress, and contribute to reporting.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of documentation standards and valuation principles.
- Ability to assess complex losses and evaluate financial data.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Communication:
- Exceptional writing skills for clear memorandums.
- Strong verbal communication to explain policy.
Technology:
- Proficiency with claims management systems and databases.
Work Environment & Travel
Hybrid remote/onsite work. Travel may be required to FEMA offices in New Mexico counties.
