Program Manager - Contract opportunity
Hybrid opportunity in Boston, MA (must be based in Greater Boston).
Position Overview: Launched in 2024, the Life Sciences Career Alliance connects stakeholders to create sustainable systems for employment outcomes for local talent. We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee and coordinate internal activities, focusing on impactful events engaging stakeholders, employers, and talent. This role requires comprehensive experience in event planning (full-cycle management from inception to execution).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of virtual and in-person activities.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of key activities, including:
- Coordinating talent for informational interviews.
- Organizing employer site visits and mentorship opportunities.
- Managing skills-focused webinars and professional development events.
- Facilitating job search initiatives and career skills training sessions.
- Ensure seamless execution of events, focusing on logistics, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with talent to support career development.
- Own project deliverables, ensuring each event meets objectives, stays within timelines and exceeds expectations.
- Coordinate internal logistics and execution of events aligned with program goals.
- Serve as primary liaison for stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Establish and implement scalable program systems.
- Leverage technology systems to improve internal operations.
- Develop strategies for engaging community partners and stakeholders.
- Cultivate strong relationships with employers, talent, and community organizations.
Skills & Experience
- Must be based in Greater Boston area.
- 5+ years of event planning and execution experience, managing virtual and in-person activities.
- Expertise in project management, leading complex projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders and delivering results on time and within budget.
- Ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience working with opportunity talent.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (Airtable, Slack, Trello etc.). Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, agile work environment.
- Healthcare, biotech, or life sciences knowledge/experience a plus.
Pay Range: $40/hr
