Contractor Programme Associate

JOB PURPOSE: The Programme Associate will provide both managerial and administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the Gavi CSO Hosting Arrangement. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth project implementation, supporting administrative and logistics matters; and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Programme Support: Provide operational support for the implementation of the Gavi CSO Hosting Arrangement’s work plans and activities, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events including the preparation of agendas, minutes, and follow-up on action points.
• Facilitate communication and information flow between the Gavi CSO Steering Committee, Secretariat, Gavi Secretariat, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in monitoring progress against work plans, budgets, and deliverables, and escalate issues for timely resolution.
• Maintain the calendar of events, ensure it is updated regularly and inform stakeholders of upcoming events on time.
• Routine administrative work as needed, including ad hoc administrative support to the Director.
• Programme Management Support: Coordinate the operational implementation of planned programme activities, ensuring that timelines, resources, and responsibilities are clearly aligned.
• Monitor activity implementation and report emerging risks, gaps, or dependencies to the Director for timely resolution.
• Assist in the development of internal tools or trackers to improve efficiency and consistency in programme delivery.
• Provide support in documenting lessons learned and process improvements for future reference.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to Amref Health Africa’s policies, donor regulations, and relevant legal frameworks governing project activities.
• Support risk management activities by identifying, monitoring, and mitigating operational and financial risks.
• Ensure all contractual obligations related to the project are fulfilled and documented accordingly.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years experience in project coordination or management within international development, health, or working with civil society organizations.
