The OpportunityWe are recruiting for an experienced Programme Manager to join us for a fixed term contract until 31 December 2025, with potential extension. This role is key in shaping and delivering impactful programmes, overseeing all aspects from development and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. You'll play a key role in network building, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication, ensuring programmes achieve strategic objectives.
This position is a chance to join Fathm as it grows, helping deliver its mission of sparking creativity and driving sustainable change in journalism and communications, with a focus on AI programmes.
This role will involve collaboration with Directors to understand and implement strategy, and with the Office Manager to align on contractor management.
What you will be doing
- Supporting the successful initiation and expansion of key initiatives, managing incoming requests for Fathm consultancy services.
- Overseeing all project and programme delivery aspects, from planning to implementation.
- Designing and implementing robust systems for impact measurement.
- Managing Fathm members (consultants, coaches, associates).
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with international and local partners.
- Identifying and engaging key stakeholders (internal & external).
- Managing application and selection processes for client training cohorts.
- Collaborating with Directors to ensure programme strategies align with organizational goals and contribute to strategic initiatives (including international scaling and innovation).
- Staying informed on industry trends to strengthen Fathm's thought leadership.
About You
- Experience managing programmes, projects, or similar initiatives within media or communications is essential.
- Strong understanding of building and maintaining operational systems for multi-component programmes.
- Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects and programmes.
- Flexibility to adapt and support as part of a small team.
- Experience in writing reports and business documents.
- Demonstrated experience in programme management and consulting.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- International programme management experience with a connection to journalism, media development, or communications.
- Experience creating, implementing, and monitoring budgets.
- Additional languages a plus.
