Full-Time Proposal Writer

• Analyze customer requests for proposal and information.
• Review and interpret key RFP requirements.
• Write compelling proposal responses.
• Collaborate with senior management and proposal leadership to implement edits.
• Proofread and perform quality assurance checks.
• Meet deadlines in both initial submittals and follow-up as needed.
• Demonstrate an understanding of business challenges within customer markets.
• Develop proposal attachments, such as forms, report packages, flowcharts, implementation schedules, and sample communication materials, as required.
• Interface and coordinate with finance to verify pricing for proposal.
• Work with Production Coordinator to produce printed materials and electronic media.
• Share new or modified responses as they are developed and approved to maintain the proposal database.
• Assist other department staff as required based upon business needs.

• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work well under extreme pressure.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Understanding of proposal/project management responsibility.
• Ability to articulate and present the business value of company solutions.

• BA or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, or English
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in proposal or related business writing
• APMP and PMP certifications are a plus
• Experience with Medicaid FFS or State Governments is a plus
