Contractor QA/Test Engineer

Main Sail is seeking a QA/Test Engineer to support a leading data protection software company in delivering software enhancements for their product suite. This role involves developing, integrating, and enhancing applications, focusing on cloud integrations, security, and user experience improvements. Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct integration, regression, and system-level testing, ensuring seamless operation with cloud services and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to identify, report, and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform security testing, including static and dynamic analysis, to ensure compliance with security standards.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software testing.
- Solid understanding of secure coding practices, data encryption, and familiarity with cybersecurity testing standards (e.g., OWASP).
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, xUnit, PyTest, or similar tools a PLUS
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integration testing within DevOps pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps a PLUS
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell for test automation a PLUS.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
