Full-Time Regional Sub Editor - Wales

What will the role involve?

You will be responsible for editing copy to fit allocated space and fact-checking copy to ensure accuracy. You will write correct and effective headlines, adhering to Reach's branding and house style. You will handle changing stories and updates quickly and accurately. Ensure all copy is legally sound and meets IPSO guidelines and Reach's standards. The position requires weekend working; a flexible approach is needed.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent, and media law knowledge. You must have extensive experience in journalism at a national or large regional title. You must have in-depth knowledge of print news, and a proven track record of sub-editing for print titles. You need the knowledge and skill to judge if copy needs editing and to quickly and efficiently rewrite accurate copy. You can write accurate, hard-hitting and entertaining headlines, meeting Reach's high standards.
