Part-Time Remote BSN Adjunct Instructor, WFD

We are seeking Adjunct Faculty to join our team. Living outside of CA is required. A current California RN License or eligibility is needed. Other RN licenses may be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide online course facilitation for pre-licensure Workforce Development Programs and/or BSN/MSN programs in CA, NM, AZ, NV.
• Instruct students using existing curriculum.
• Continuously improve instruction by implementing innovative teaching methods.
• Assist with syllabus and instructional guideline reviews and revisions.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Participate in strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
• Maintain student records (attendance, grades) and assist with program data collection.
• Utilize LMS for course delivery and communication.
• Schedule and maintain communication with students via office hours, email, etc.
• Engage in professional development and maintain required CE hours.
• Act as subject matter expert for university and accreditation requirements.
• Serve on curriculum and evaluation committees.
• Conduct weekly recorded synchronous sessions for courses with exams (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.).
• Hold a minimum of four weekly office hours.
• Conduct exam analysis and reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean, Workforce Development.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered RN licensure or eligibility in relevant states.
• Current California RN license or eligibility.
• Eligibility for approval by CA BRN as instructor for specific areas (Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, etc.).
• Master's Degree in Nursing required; Terminal Degree (DNP, EdD, PhD) preferred.
• Meet faculty requirements set by California's Board of Registered Nursing.
• Demonstrate current nursing practice knowledge, mentorship skills, and effective communication.
• Minimum 1 year of previous online pre-licensure nursing teaching experience using an LMS.
• Documented background in educational methodology and clinical practice experience.
• Knowledge of distance education techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
