This position can be remote for candidates who live beyond 50 miles from Dayton, OH or Cary, NC.This position requires 70% in person travel across territories within the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Review drawings and documents to determine scope of work.
- Specify equipment and select instruments.
- PLC/HMI programming and checkout.
- Resolve discrepancies between scope and customer needs.
- Coordinate project activities.
- Provide phone support and customer service.
- Design, spec, and price controls based on project requirements.
- Perform design and coordinate installations of control panels.
- Research new products.
- Perform start-up and troubleshooting services.
- Investigate and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Participate in meetings to negotiate scope of work.
- Select motor controls.
- Design or modify PLC/HMI applications.
- Complete I/O checkout and documentation.
- Configure electronic motor controls and instrumentation.
- Implement PLC/OIT controls.
- Perform commission testing.
- Provide tech support and field reports.
Skills:
- Competency with Allen Bradley PLC/HMI hardware and software.
- Familiarity with Modicon, GE, and Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Understanding and configuration of multiple vender VFDs.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and industrial control protocols.
- Competency with HMI software such as Wonderware, iFix, Cimplicity, RSView Enterprise.
- Familiarity with VPN and remote control concepts.
- Good customer relations communication skills.
