Full-Time Renewable Energy Technical Lead

• Support the department manager in advancing technical excellence and accountability.
• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
• Lead improvements in project efficiencies by creating and implementing standards/templates.
• Provide input on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs.
• Develop task and deliverable lists with associated hour estimates and schedules.
• Support strategic resourcing initiatives and recruiting efforts.
• Function as a technical lead and engineer of record on projects.
• Perform engineering calculations to support construction deliverables.
• Support projects through their complete lifecycle.
• Monitor the team’s project progress to ensure quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
• Participate in and present engineering work at client meetings.
• Work with Project Managers to develop design schedules and budgets.
• Provide quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Ensure technical and safety standards are maintained.

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in design and integration of utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
• Current professional engineering license (PE).

• 4+ years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with software like NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, Helioscope, Homer, ETAP, WindPRO.
• System financial estimation (Capex, Opex), PPA recommendation, and ROI calculation skills.
• MV AC Collection System Design Experience.
• Special design experience in floating PV and fuel cells.
• Proficient with NEC, IBC, and NFPA 855.
• Deep knowledge of utility practices, industry codes, and standards.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish.
• Field construction and commissioning experience.
