Job Details

Purpose: The Research Manager at Lingraphica ensures products and services are grounded in evidence-based practice, bridging clinical innovation with scientific validation. The role drives the research agenda, enhancing product credibility in the marketplace.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Research Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy aligned with Lingraphica's mission and product development goals.
    • Establish an evidence hierarchy framework for product claims and marketing.
    • Identify new research areas, technologies, or methodologies advancing aphasia intervention.
    • Create annual research plans with clear objectives, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.
    • Lead a cross-functional research governance committee to prioritize research initiatives.
  1. Research Design & Implementation
    • Design rigorous clinical studies to evaluate efficacy of Lingraphica devices combined with evidence-based interventions like VNeST.
    • Develop research project plans, defining scope, objectives, methodologies, and timelines.
    • Oversee research execution, ensuring adherence to protocols, budget, and quality standards.
    • Implement systematic outcomes tracking for real-world evidence collection.
    • Develop protocols, recruit participants, and oversee user testing for product development and validation.
  1. Data Management & Analysis
    • Establish data collection standards and procedures for scientific rigor.
    • Manage data collection, analysis, and interpretation for innovation and improvement.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of relevant research.
    • Apply appropriate statistical methods to analyze outcomes and efficacy data.
  1. Knowledge Dissemination & Publication
    • Lead the development of research reports, white papers, peer-reviewed publications, and conference presentations.
    • Create a publication strategy to enhance Lingraphica's visibility.
    • Present research findings to internal and external audiences (investors, policymakers, end-users).
    • Represent Lingraphica's research agenda at conferences and meetings.
    • Develop and present educational webinars for SLPs and consumers.
  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Review marketing and educational content for accurate research representation.
    • Establish an evidence review process for product efficacy claims.
    • Ensure all research activities comply with ethical standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices.
    • Maintain IRB relationships and oversee approval processes for human subjects' research.
  1. Partnership Development
    • Build academic partnerships with universities and research institutions.
    • Network with external researchers and teams in aphasia, AAC, and speech-language pathology.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, product development, technology).
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, advocacy groups, and patient organizations.
  1. Professional Development & Mentorship
    • Mentor staff pursuing Doctorates/PhDs.
    • Create opportunities for staff to develop research skills.
    • Stay current with emerging research methodologies and trends.
