Job Details
SaaS Systems Engineer will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day operation of various SaaS delivery environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day monitoring of production service delivery environment to ensure optimal operations and SLA compliance.
- Identifying optimization opportunities and resolving problems affecting service delivery across applications, shared services, middleware, and databases.
- Operating and maintaining systems for new customer, application, and feature provisioning.
- Providing insight on trends to proactively address customer and corporate requirements.
- Participating in software design and development to maximize operational efficiency and architecture.
- Software deployment and configuration management in QA and Production environments.
- Developing tools and utilities to support Operations and SaaS service delivery.
- Providing level 2/3 support for customer-initiated issues.
- Maintaining and improving IT infrastructure (servers, laptops, networks, telecommunications).
- Delivering outstanding help desk support to employees.
- Establishing, maintaining, and managing vendors for hardware, software, and services.
- Identifying systems deficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Documenting forecasts, plans, and resolutions.
- Innovating, promoting, and driving adoption of tools, technologies, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of corporate infrastructure experience (preferably in software development)
- 5+ years of experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, and integrating enterprise technologies
- 4+ years of experience in Windows/Linux environment administration
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL
- 3+ years of experience with AWS / Azure
- 3+ years of experience in scripting and programming
- 2+ years of experience with help desk, network connectivity, and telecommunications
Additional Technical Skills:
- VMware experience
- Automation using VB, PowerShell, or similar
- Virtualized infrastructure deployment and management
- Familiarity with HTML, SCC, Java, and ASP.Net
