The SaaS Systems Engineer will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day operation of various SaaS delivery environments, as well as ongoing initiatives to ensure demonstrated levels of reliability, scalability, and quality of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring of production service delivery to ensure optimal service and application operation, and SLA adherence.
- Identifying optimization opportunities and solving problems affecting service delivery across applications, shared services, middleware, and databases.
- Operating and maintaining systems for customer provisioning.
- Providing insight on trends needing proactive action to stay ahead of customer and corporate requirements.
- Participating in software design and development to ensure operational efficiency and architecture services.
- Software deployment and configuration management in Quality Assurance and Production environments.
- Developing tools and utilities to support Operations and SaaS service delivery.
- Providing level 2/3 support for customer-initiated issues.
- Maintaining and improving IT infrastructure (servers, laptops, desktops, networks, telecommunications).
- Delivering outstanding help desk support to employees.
- Managing vendors providing hardware, software, and services.
- Identifying system deficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Documenting forecasts, plans, and resolutions.
- Innovating, promoting, and driving adoption of tools, technologies, policies, and procedures to support continuous improvement.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of corporate infrastructure experience (preferably in software development)
- 5+ years of experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, and integrating enterprise technologies
- 4+ years of Windows environment administration
- 3+ years of relational databases and SQL administration
- 3+ years of AWS/Azure experience
- 3+ years of scripting and programming experience
- 2+ years of experience with help desk, network connectivity, and telecommunications.
Additional Skills:
- VMware experience
- Automation using VB, PowerShell, or similar scripting
- Virtualized infrastructure deployment and management
- Familiarity with HTML, SCC, Java, and ASP.NET
