The SaaS Systems Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the daily operation of various SaaS delivery environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and quality of service.
The successful candidate will be familiar with software development, deployment processes, relational databases, Windows/Linux systems, and have scripting or programming experience.
The role involves supporting internal IT infrastructure, including employee help desk, network connectivity, and telecommunications. Daily tasks include:
- Monitoring production service delivery for optimal operation and SLA adherence.
- Identifying optimization opportunities and solving service delivery issues across applications, shared services, middleware, and databases.
- Operating and maintaining systems for new customer, application, and feature provisioning.
- Providing insight into trends requiring proactive action.
- Participating in software design and development for operational efficiency.
- Software deployment and configuration management (QA and Production).
- Developing tools and utilities for Operations.
- Providing Level 2/3 support for customer issues.
- Maintaining and improving IT infrastructure (servers, laptops, networks, telecommunications).
- Offering excellent help desk support to employees.
- Managing vendors for hardware, software, and services.
- Identifying system deficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Documenting forecasts, plans, and resolutions.
- Innovating, promoting, and driving adoption of tools, technologies, policies, and procedures.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years corporate infrastructure experience (preferably in software development)
- 5+ years evaluating, selecting, implementing, and integrating enterprise technologies
- 4+ years Windows administration
- 3+ years relational databases and SQL
- 3+ years AWS/Azure experience
- 3+ years scripting and programming
- 2+ years help desk, network, and telecommunications support
Additional Skills:
- Hyper-V experience
- Automation using VB, PowerShell, or similar
- Virtualized infrastructure deployment and management
- Familiarity with HTML, SCC, Java, and ASP.Net
