Position Summary This role supports the Safety System Administrator team performing database administration tasks including database instance creation and upgrades, change control, data migration, user support, and training.
Principal Responsibilities
- Maintenance of database libraries
- System validation activities
- Database interrogation and output generation for internal and client use
- Training and access provision to internal and client users
Principle Functions (Client Focus)
- Setup and maintenance of project-specific database libraries (products, licenses, studies, reporting destinations)
- Documentation and validation of database changes
- Support during legacy data transfer (e.g., validation)
- Guidance to project managers/clients/project start-up teams on data handling guidelines
- Preparation of line listings, tabulations, and other database outputs for reports, signal detection, reconciliation
- Provision of case processing metrics for invoicing (e.g., submission counts, case types)
- Database training for clients
- Provision and documentation of client/internal team access
Principle Functions (Company Focus)
- Coordination of user access (setup and revocation)
- Maintenance of database procedures and core data handling conventions
- Database training and certification for PrimeVigilance users
- User support
- Root cause investigation of database deviations and documentation of actions
- Provision of case processing quality and compliance metrics
- Identification of improvement areas (training, clarifying guidelines, user guides)
- Database failure business continuity testing
- Software bug, user request, and regulatory change consideration and implementation
- Troubleshooting and implementation support for IT, vendors, and technical colleagues
Other Responsibilities
- Assistance to PrimeVigilance senior management (as needed)
- Potential for chargeable consulting/training activities for clients regarding Argus and LSSMV
Qualifications
- Degree-educated
- Demonstrated work experience within Argus Safety Systems
