Full-Time SAP Basis Engineer

Overall Purpose: SAP Basis Engineer supporting a complex, virtualized SAP landscape (on-premise and private cloud). Assist with design, administration, monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting of SAP systems and databases, including application issues and routine tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with design, administration, monitoring, performance optimization and troubleshooting of SAP systems and databases.
• Handle automatic routine tasks for SAP systems.
• Ensure availability of the mission-critical SAP environment.
• Support heterogeneous SAP systems in virtualized environments.
• Proactive issue resolution (Level 2 support).
• Handle service requests and fault elimination.
• Understand interdependencies between application and SAP Basis layers.
• Familiar with ITIL processes (Incident Management, Change Management, etc.).
• Experience with ticketing systems and standard reporting tools.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in SAP Basis activities.
• Technical Knowledge: SAP Systems Administration (ABAP/JAVA, ERP R/3, S/4HANA), SAP Cloud Solutions (on-premise and cloud), SAP Basis tools (SolMan, Cloud ALM, ChaRM, WebDispatcher, Router, HANA Studio, Cockpit, SSO), HANA DB, Incident & Service Management.
• Skills: Problem-solving, analytical skills, task prioritization, communication, collaboration, documentation, flexible working conditions.
• Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written), German is a plus.
