Scientific Affairs Manager (SAM) is responsible for informing, engaging, and influencing key stakeholders (KSH) at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies about scientific and clinical data supporting Guardant Health products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at BioPharma to elevate Guardant Health's reputation.
- Engage in scientific exchange to understand current and future oncology biomarker needs of BioPharma.
- Influence pharma on oncology biomarker implementation for clinical trials.
- Provide strategic review and proposed edits for pharma partner materials (abstracts, posters, presentations, manuscripts).
- Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration with pharma and biotech companies.
- Assess biopharma pipelines for engagement and research collaboration.
- Serve as an advocate for scientifically sound ctDNA applications.
- Establish expertise on Guardant Health products and data.
- Stay current in clinical oncology, drug development, genomics, and biomarkers.
- Contribute to the development of marketing messages/collateral.
- Required Experience: Typically requires a university degree and 8 years of related experience (or a Master's and 6 years, a PhD and 3 years, or PharmD/MD with experience).
- Desired Experience: Clinical expertise in oncology/genomics, experience with academic medical centers/biopharma, experience designing/conducting/publishing clinical research, expertise in genomic biomarker testing.
- Skills: Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills; knowledge of genomic LDT; familiarity with regulatory standards (CLIA-88’, CAP, Sunshine Act); proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Work Environment: 50% travel; home-based office; extensive computer use; ability to handle multiple tasks.
Compensation: US base salary range: $157,800 to $213,030. Specific factors influencing compensation will be shared during the recruitment process.
