Full-Time Senior Audience Writer - Sport

What will the role involve?

This role focuses on creating content to engage a large audience across Reach's regional sports portfolio. Responsibilities include covering significant stories and trending topics relevant to football fans, ensuring broad discoverability and engagement.

You will:

• Be a skilled storyteller with strong writing and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrate expertise in search, SEO, and discoverability, understanding trending content and emerging trends.

Who are we looking for?

• NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree, with knowledge of media law.
• Passionate about digital storytelling in football journalism.
• Proven ability to identify and report on stories important to football fans, encouraging engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building contacts and asking insightful questions.
• Creative individual capable of generating a continuous flow of story ideas.
• Strong digital publishing skills including CMS operation, video shooting, and photography.
• Full clean driving licence (preferable).
