Your CareerYou'll ensure all outbound communications are current, correct, consistent, customer-friendly, and polished. You respect the boundaries between content and copy editing, preserving the writer's wording except when needed for clarity, repetition, or logical structure.
Your ImpactCopy edit primarily technical marketing collateral according to Chicago style. Review AP-based creative content and communications. Proofread PDFs, slides, and graphics. Fact-check, add trademarks, and ensure source citations. Collaborate with copywriters, editors, and designers.
Your Experience
- 5+ years editing in high-tech, preferably 2+ in cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of Chicago style, plus AP style (training provided).
- Excellent grammar, mechanics, and proofing skills.
- Good editorial judgment and comfort reviewing executive copy.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field (other degrees considered with relevant experience).
- Experience with Google G Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Asana.
- Exposure to AI-generated content and editing tools.
